Today was the first meeting with Rotaract! We had an amazing turn out and we were all so excited to see the new faces, especially those joining a club at NMSU for the first time. For an icebreaker, we all went around and introduced ourselves and our major along with the movie plot we would write and direct if we could. Then we had Patty Groth from the Rotary Club of Las Cruces. She spoke to us today about their initiative on collecting toys for disadvantaged children in the local area. We plan to help them with their Toys for Tots drive in October! Keep an eye out for further updates on everything regarding that! Thank you to everyone who came to the meeting today.

Thank you for having us up there, and putting on a great show for the community! The end of the semester is fast approaching! We will have our final Rotaract meeting on April 30th, at 6:15pm in Domenici Hall Room 018.
We'll hand out membership pins/graduation cords for members that have attended 3 service events, 2 rotaract meetings, and 1 rotary meeting. We will also be taking officer nominations for the new year! The positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer will need to be filled. It is possible that other positions like "Social Media Chair" can be created if the club thinks this is best. If you are nominated, be prepared to give a short spiel on why you're the best fit for the position. Shortly after, we'll vote and have our new officers! Having fun helping presenters set up and guiding 4th graders at the 2018 Las Cruces Water Conservation Festival! Rotaractors volunteering at The Big Event yesterday. This is an off-campus community service project with students, alumni, faculty, and staff as a way of saying "thank you" for your support. It was great to speak with members of the community about our club at the NMSU International Festival yesterday, celebrating cultural richness and global understanding.
